    Media Release
The Bay City St. Patrick's Day Parade Association wishes to share details regarding the 70th Annual Bay City St. Patrick's Day Parade.

The parade starts at 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 16, 2025.  Viewers on the parade route should plan on being in place by 1:00 p.m. The parade starts at Center and Park Avenues and ends at Center Avenue and Water Street. Visitors may watch the parade all along Center Avenue. Please visit:  www.stpatparadebaycity.org for additional information and all parade day events.

Center Avenue will be closed from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on parade day. Individuals  will not be able to cross Center from north or south. There will be a St. Patrick’s Day Race in the morning from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and parade activities from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m.

    Additional considerations for parade day:
? The parade is an outside event. Please be prepared for any type of weather…. It’s Michigan in March!
? Allow an extra ½ hour of driving time to find a parking place when you arrive.
? Please be aware that there will be a lot of foot traffic when driving in downtown Bay City. There will be spectators and runners.
? You may park on side streets, but please do not block driveways or park on lawns as that is private property.  ? Do not block any alleyways as you risk being towed away.
? Please respect the area in which you park and use trash bins or take trash to a trash bin located all along Center Avenue.
? There will be Porta Johns located all along Center Avenue and handicap accessible ones will be located at Center and Lincoln in front of the fire station.
? Handicap parking spaces are limited but are located in the downtown area parking lots at 6th / Washington Streets and 5th / Saginaw Streets.
? Be prepared for walking depending on where you park.

Please consider parking and viewing the parade on the northside of Center Avenue if you are traveling from the north. If you're traveling from the south, please consider staying on the southside of Center Avenue.

Please be aware that both Independence Bridge and Liberty Bridge are TOLL BRIDGES!  Non residents of Bay City will be charged for crossing these bridges. The toll rates are available here: https://baycitybridgepartners.com/rates/.  You may use Veterans Memorial Bridge for FREE.  Lafayette Bridge is currently closed in both directions.

There are multiple bars and restaurants in the downtown area, and we hope you stop by Mulligan’s Pub; our “Official End of the Parade Stop!”  We hope you will join us as we celebrate the 70th Annual Bay City St. Patrick's Day Parade and enjoy a joyful display of excitement with over 100 entries, including pipe bands, local high school bands, and floats.
