Community Ambassador

New Dimensions is a 501(c)3 non-profit. Since 1974, our mission has been to assist individuals with developmental disabilities, mental illness, and traumatic brain injuries by empowering them with the support necessary to reach their highest level of independence through employment training and social development.

New Dimensions is looking for an outgoing and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about our mission and can effectively communicate our message to the public. Your role will be to represent our agency in the community using your creativity and networking skills to create a strong presence across various channels, including social media, events, and community outreach.

Tasks of this role include:

• Represent the agency at various events and functions.
• Establish and maintain business relationships.
• Collaborate with the management team to develop new strategies.
• Establish, direct, and coordinate fundraiser, minimum of 3 per year.
• Prepare grants and manage reporting deadlines.
• Prepare press releases related to grants and events.
• Maintain webpage and social media presence.
• Research and join groups which may be beneficial to the agency.
• Regularly attend Chamber of Commerce events.
• Represent the agency at job fairs, informational booths, and local schools.

Required skills and qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Clear driving record
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Ability to pass a drug test including marijuana
• Ability to pass a recipient rights background check
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build and maintain relationships in the community
• Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include evenings and weekends
• Ability to work independently as well as with a team
